I don't understand it. They just won't fight back and media feels emboldened.

That's because the Bush camp is so polite, rising above it, not getting in the throws of name calling and other tacky strategies. But we're in a world of tacky folks who simply like being force-fed...It drives me bananas...I'm very frustrated over this.

Our one chip is who will run for president next election. If we stay soft, we're gonna lose big time. And have to suffer another ill-gotten Democratic term.

That's been my beef almost from the get-go. Kennedy's (lie after lie after lie, war concocted in Crawford for political purposes, the debates, where Bush allowed Kerry to lie through his teeth and didn't challenge him, etc)... It's all taken a huge toll, and I'm disgusted by it

I have always felt that Cheney should be replaced as a VP and stay on as a trusted advisor. One of the major roles as a VP is to forcefully defend our President (for all of Gore's faults, he was fantastic and supporting Bubba on all fronts). Cheney has been reticent to do so, partially because of the media-created Haliburton connection, and now he's become a laughing stock as a result of the hunting accident. He appeals to the base, but the great majority of Americans don't like him.

These are the facts, at least from my perspective.
