Did you hear Imus' only reference to Gregory?
Doris Kearns Goodwin said to Imus, maybe I'm telling you more information than you want to know, and Imus said something like, "just so you aren't drunk", or "you're not drunk too, are you?". A definite, oblique reference to Gregory, and it sure sounded to me as if Imus is not backing off his accusation, that yesterday Gregory called in to the show drunk.
I heard that. The short little conversation Imus had with Bernard and Charles around 7:20, to me, indicated they think Gregory was just being silly. Also, there's the matter of Drudge taking the story down so soon. Egg on his face?
Also, for me, it validates Imus' ability to get just about anything out of anyone.
