TiVo Plans TV Package With Parental Controls
By ELLEN SHENG March 2, 2006 10:49 a.m.
TiVo Inc. is preparing to roll out a children's programming package this summer to help parents control what their kids watch.
Called KidZone, the package will choose programs recommended by special interest groups Common Sense Media and Parents Television Council. The TV set will display recorded or live programming only within those boundaries unless parents key in a special password to leave the KidZone. Parents still will be able to record or watch shows they deem inappropriate for kids once they key in the password.
"We've finally cracked the code on how to give everyone choice and get the right TV easily delivered," TiVo Chief Executive Tom Rogers said in an interview.

HOw much does Tivo cost and how does it work?
Around $100 + small fee per month to maintain their service that last time I checked.
Don't we have anything better to do than worrying what is on the channel and being Tucked into Bed by government or corporate or so-called concerned groups? This is the parents or those watching TV decision. Either turn off the the TV or change the channel, but I really dislike those complaining about how bad entertainment TV has become.
