I've got a 93 Geo Sonoma with about 150,000 miles. There isn't even a hint of a leak anywhere on the entire engine. It's really amazing everytime I think about it.
Why don't they build their cars that way?
Japanese Sedans are too pricey....so much so that they appear to be targeted at top income-quartile America and above.

Corrola's From the mid teens and Camry's From High Teens, Low Twenty's. That's not exactly pricey. Honda Civic And Accord are also similarly priced.

I paid $16,000 for my 2000 Mazda 626.
I love it.

Japanese Sedans are too pricey Not really.
A '07 Civic, reasonably equipped (A/C is a non-negotiable, and I like cruise control), goes for about $17k. A similarly equipped Corolla runs about $14k. The Saturn Ion was about $17-$18k.

GMC's mini-truck was named Sonoma in '93, though I've never heard of a Geo Sonoma. Are you confident in that model name?
