I refer to television as the "one eyed god" and deliberately cut down my intake of it. (down to one show a week--24)

Seriously though, I don't remember from when I watched TV on a daily basis in the early 90's a bunch of ads for presciption drugs--nothing like the sampling I have seen recently--which leads me to a personal tin-foil hat theory: The drugs are to treat a "made-up" or hypochondriacs condition. A condition that may actually exist but isn't common enough to sell a lot of the drug--so they make this commercial to "suggest" to viewers who are perhaps more suggestible that they may have something wrong with them..and Surprise! A new health disorder takes wings!

Just an aside--on the one-eyed god thingy--next time you sit down down to "worship" think about the "shrine" you have erected to your television...entertainment center with glass doors? entertainment armoire? Central to your living room or den wall? think about it :-) btw not criticizing ANYONE I am just as guilty.

You mean you have a two-eyed computer screen? Where do I buy one? That's sounds cool. Just joking around...I agree with you assertions.
