this reminds me of the idiots that buy bottled water.

Most of the bottled waters are nothing more than filtered city water. Heck I saw one once that was from New York City!

I would rather not drink NYC filtered sewage.

LOL, my youngest was "too small" on his first birthday, causing GREAT CONCERN at the pediatrician's office.

He grew into a 6'4", 200 lb. Army Medic. I've always been tempted to bring him back to that doctor, plop him down on her lap and ask her "IS HE BIG ENOUGH NOW????"

;^)

Not a shot I'd expect to see in Heinz UK's advertising anytime soon.

My four kids all refused to do the baby food thing. I probably used 20 jars for all four kids.

They went straight from nursing to finger foods. It was quite odd.

"I would rather not drink NYC filtered sewage."

Yup. I get distilled water at Wal-Mart for $.58 a gallon.

It is rather hilarious to think about what parents did when the wee ones were born before grocery stores... They sure were not buying baby food in jars.....LOL...reminds me of my Daughter in Law....who complained the house was too cold at night one night....when grandson was about 8 months old (we turn the heat down at night). I laughed (TOO MYSELF) thinking....WOW wonder what my great grandparents did on wagon trains....

"i was yelled at by hospital nurses for NOT waking him up to nurse him in the hospital..."

SO WAS I.....they complained that he cried all night in the nursery (THIS was BEFORE they let babies stay with their mommies in their hospital rooms.....NOT FUN!)

Bovine excrement. And I don't mean just what organic farmers compost. You can Google and find tons of research saying that organic foods not only are more nutritious, but taste better. Believe what you like. I'll continue to give my kids stuff like organic milk that contains no growth hormones (my teenager has enough hormones, thank you). I'm a conservative and I like organics. Flame away.

he stayed w/ me all night and not a peep was heard!
he was (and still is!) a phenominal sleeper! geez!
i told that nurse "don't you think this 10 lb hunk
of baby would have let me know he was hungry???"

what nutty notions there are out there about rasing kids!

We eat some organic too....you're not alone.....although I never fed my son any as that was a LONG time ago. Relax....and let'em have their fun.

I don't think anyone's saying that organic is worse, but that most people don't realize that what passes for organic is often loaded with just as much corn syrup, preservatives, and the like.
People don't read labels...
