Exactly.

I don't see why there's an expectation that an approval poll be balanced by party. It seems to me that if the sample is sufficiently random, the answer can get obtained without even ASKING about party. It's not an electoral poll.

Also, wouldn't it make sense that if the President's approval *IS* low (and I don't think anybody's arguing that it's good right now), wouldn't it make sense for fewer people to identify themselves with his party?

I know it's fashionable here to just reject any bad news, but this is NOT good for us. This ports deal is hurting badly.

I know. I've followed this closely and I don't know what the solution is.

Perhaps, this is an example that not all problems have a solution.
