If memory serves me correctly, TWA 800 blew up over the Atlantic due to a problem of some sort with it's fuel tank.. This was a conclusion of the TSA & FBI? Is there more to this story?

TWA 800 blew up over the Atlantic, however (as a former 747 pilot) I assure you that it was not due to a mechanical problem with the fuel tank. The government produced simulation aired on all the major networks at the time showing a "zoom climb" following the departure of the nose of the aircraft was aerodynamically absurd. Flight 800 was downed by an external object, though I cannot say whether this was a terrorist missle, an off target military drone. Jim Saunders believes the former; several of our former employees - retired naval officers, believe it was the latter.

So why haven't the hundreds of TSA & FBI agents, as well as the thousands of others who have access to the information, come out about this? Is there something keeping these hundreds, or thousands of people quiet?
