One thing I will say about what Sean is saying...
He seems to be accusing the Pro-ports faction of BASHING the investigation...and I haven't heard anyone, even Tony Snow, who as been for it from the start, complain about the new 45 day investigation...have any of you??
Even Rush said the good thing is...the investigation will put new emphasis on port security...which is a good thing!!!
WHO is he so angry with???
NO ONE that I have heard or read is complaining that the investigation is AWFUL, and that anyone who asks for it is ISLAMOPHOBIC...
Color me confused!

Color me confused! I am too. I haven't heard anyone criticize the extra 45 days. If it's a good deal, it will withstand the extra time and scrutiny. If it's a bad deal, better to know it now.
I wish I knew who he was screaming about. I'm really curious now.

(paraphrased from my post 48)I'll go on record as being against the 45 days investigation as presented in that I trust the US Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security, and others who are the 'experts' (and have reviewed this) we pay to keep us safe and review these things..
I trust the Coast Guard and Homeland Security far more than I do a bunch of Senators pandering for another 15 minutes of TV time..
What is the results if Congress overrides the Coast Guard's and DHS's stamp of approval? Are they now justifying oversight of all decisions by those groups?
