You can use this system on a tactical nuclear warhead.

"Hes probably going to trumpet these few missiles as a triumph of foreign policy."

Mushy or Bush?

Well then it must be true. It's hard to keep on who is our current best bud, though. Is it Pakistan or UAE?

"Long term, India and Pakistan need to learn to get along."

That can easily be achieved. All India has to do is embrace Islam. It's antagonistic to Pakistan for India to exist as an infidel state.

I am not concerned. It has to be part of some brilliant plan by Rove and Bush to create a healthier economic climate.

The sad thing is that India has also made overtures to China (This has to do with India doing business with Russia). If the commies win in India, they promise even better relations with the Chicoms

And, Pakistan has been having problems with the Chicoms as of late. (Too buddy-Buddy with the US, and abandoning weapons contracts from the Chicoms.)

So tell me does India arm the Russians just as the US arms Pakistan? Is it India jeopardizing America's security or America jeopardizing India's security?

We buy weaponry from Russia, the very same kind of weaponry that until couple of years ago US would sell to Pakistan and deny us the same. That may change soon but don't forget India until a few years ago was under American sanctions.

"why they are communists in your government?"

The communists are not "in" the government. They are part of the coalition supporting the current Congress government from "outside". Had it been the communists inside the government, we perhaps wont have witnessed India-US ties emerging in such a big way.

Pakistan hasn't cancelled even a single defense deal with China to my knowledge. FC-1s, JF-17s, F-22 frigates, Al Zarar and Al Khaled tanks and several other deals are on the card.

As for the defense tie up with US, most of the military hardware comes from the 4 billion dollars military aid to Pakistan. Pakistan isnt buying anything from the US from their own pockets.

I doubt the Indo-Russian JSF is the reason why US arms Pakistan with weapons meant to kill Indians. Its a lame excuse. US had been arming Pakistan long before the JSF infact US had been arming Pakistan since long before India entered the Soviet camp.

From India's point of view it makes perfect sense to develop/buy weaponry from Russia to fight the advanced American weaponry in Pakistan's inventory and more so because American sanctions had so far prevented India from buying anything from US. The last thing India should do is keep itself umarmed while US arms Pakistan. Appealing to America's good sense is not likely to work and so India's relations with Russia is most vital.

I think the whole reason that there is peace between India and Pakistan is because Russia and China are holding the two countries back from fighting each other.

Weaning India off of Russian weapons sales and to our weapons would be a good idea, however, this would give Pakistan more favorable access to Russian weapons (Pak already buys some weapons from Russia now)

Curious how this will all pan out once Bin Laden is captured?
