I'm not a lawyer but I thought so.

You can always tell someone who didn't serve because they have no understanding or respect for what military ribbons and badges represent.

Nagin is a loser. By extrapolation, the city is as well, because they elected him mayor.

Looks like the highest ribbon he's wearing is an Antarctica Service Medal.

Let's think about the Antarctica Service Medal for a second.

Rather then say it is just another ribbon let's look at all the risks and dangers involved in actually living on Antarctica.

Every possible way the earth can freeze you to death can be happen on Antarctica and in mere minutes.

Then there is the isolation and loneliness, it is said Mars might actually be more hospitable.

Some political hack slapped together a bunch of ribbons for the Mayor to wear and at the top they put the one that says you faced the worst this earth and Mother Nature can throw at any soldier, sailor, airman, or Marine and survived.

"General" Nagin?

Isn't Nagin taking his whole "third-world banana republic" shtick just a *little* too far with this?

but wearing A current Army Uniform designed for service in Iraq is just plain wrong.

Agreed. He is a dishonorable shameful fool. I have friends who have died wearing this uniform. It should be worn with pride and respect.
