Forget Dubai-based DP World poised to run commercial operations in six leading American ports, its the players in the chess game called Port Security that Congress members should be losing the most sleep over.
While its true that port security falls under the jurisdiction of Coast Guard and U.S. customs officials, agents of both entities will need a program just to recognize all the players.
Port Security International (PSI) is an international partners network composed of an array of financial, strategic, technological and in-country port industry related companies.
PSI has an alliance with the China-based Nuctech, a company that "possesses the largest manufacture base of Linear Accelerator X-ray inspection machines to inspect containers at ports in the world." (www.secureports.com/partner.htm).
Boasts PSI of partner Nuctech: "As a result of its valuable contribution in the security inspection application, Nuctech has earned its indisputable reputation within the cargo inspection industry."
Chief Executive Officer of the 700-employee strong Nuctech is Hu Haifeng. Thats Hu Haifeng, the son of current China President Hu Jintao. It should surprise no one that Hu Haifeng is landing lucrative contracts in China.
At a 2005 meeting on port security in Dubai, Nuctech said that they hope to expand their foothold in the mid-east. (www.ameinfo.com/58032.html).
Airport, Port & Terminal Security 2006 will be held from April 3-4 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai.
"PSI has a strategic alliance with Stonebridge International LLC, a global business strategy firm based in Washington, DC that helps U.S. and multinational companies shape and execute strategies to solve problems and seize business opportunities worldwide." (Security Ports International 2004).

I am sorry this posting died, it was informative. I am beginning to believe that some on this forum, are not conservatives, or patriots at all, just here to chase off those that genuinely question the power of govt, and govt officials. I would even go so far as to put forth a theory, that there is among this forum, a paid staff of workers, making sure that free thought is squelched. What say yea?
"I would even go so far as to put forth a theory, that there is among this forum, a paid staff of workers, making sure that free thought is squelched. What say yea?"
The answer to that question reminds of a time when I was floating around on a navy ship. I was making rounds and found myself down in Damage Control Central. One of the watchstanders was reading the Enquirer. The headline said,"Bigfoot Escapes!!" Of course, my reaction was, "Escapes, when did they capture him?"
Yes, I believe there are individuals that watch these sites to see whether the conservative masses are stirred up, and whether they need to try and get everyone back on track. Thus, me being a independent conservative, I smell the dead rat before its body gets cold, and I try to jump all over it like an australian dingo on a daycare fence.
Which is fine really, because they throw the same talking points out that you hear everywhere else and this forum gives us a chance to point out how perposterous these points sound.
