I have never understood why there should be an exception made for rape and incest. If abortion is murder, then wouldn't it still be murder under the proposed exceptions? But of course, the demands for these exceptions aren't grounded in reality - it's all politics. To make it look like pro-life people are compassionate. But it really makes such people look like fools.

In the same way, if abortion is murder, should abortion doctors and the women who get abortions go to trial for murder? Should the sentence for abortion be any different than the sentence for murdering someone who has been born?

Yes, it is indeed a tough issue, but I would say yes. Otherwise, then we are saying that some lives are worth more than others. Another issue is that if you charge the doctors with murder, then you would have to charge the would-be mother with accessory to murder....

Should the sentence for abortion be any different than the sentence for murdering someone who has been born?

You mean, rotting in jail for the rest of their lives at taxpayer expense?!?

An interesting point--since there is no statute of limitations on murder, would millions of American women be tried and convicted? Millions of whom now have living children to care for. Many of us who've made the horrific mistake of having an abortion in our younger days have already repented and are active in pro-life and conservative movements. God will judge us..and forgive those who have repented and have asked his forgiveness.
