I sometimes don't know how to unstop my toilet, either. Shall we have a Department of Plumbing at the local university? Plumbing is taught at universities. My daughter majored in building construction and is managing projects in Manhattan. Should plumbing not be a subject of study?

And I do know how to unstop my toilet. It's possibly because I'm familiar with a variety of tools, not just pencils :-)
