Shocking! This news just came this evening?!
yup its been posted at least 3 times already today
I didn't know this until I read the bio in detail
"Off-screen, Weaver served as president of the
Screen Actors Guild and was a vegetarian and activist for environmental and charitable causes.
He served as president of Love Is Feeding Everyone, which fed 150,000 needy people a week in Los Angeles County. He founded the Institute of Ecolonomics, which sought solutions to economic and environmental problems. He spoke at the
United Nations and Congress, as well as to college students and school children about fighting pollution.
His "Earthship" home was the most visible of Weaver's crusades. He and his wife, Gerry, built the solar-powered Colorado dwelling out of recycled tires and cans. The thick walls helped keep the inside temperature even year-round. "
That was my thought as well. The B list takes a beating.
Somehow it's hard be believe he was 81.......

Not the Yahoo story and bio.
The wife and I were discussing to passing of Don Knotts and how this string of extremely talented people laid out the first couple decades of television, who are passing away ,while no one will ever fill their shoes. Forest Lawn is vibrating at all the reality TV on the air.
Clint Eastwood, right? Actually I think Weaver was a far better actor than Eastwood.
Yep, #3. And if we have a loss tomorrow, it will be back to #1..
You're gonna post this story from the Springfield Shopper too, then? Can't wait!
Oh sure, but these 3 really were within an extremely short period of time.
First Don Knotts and now Dennis Weaver. I have the whole Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith collections. Raised my kids on these along with Leave It to Beaver.
Has anybody seen the movie Time Changer? Watched it twice this weekend; just about the best Christian movie I have ever seen. I recommend it without reservation.
You got too much time on your hands, Dude. Get a life - and get off this thread if you are not enjoying it.
Don't forget Darren McGavin passed away over the weekend too.
I've seen Time Changer! I'm a sucker for time-travel movies, so I loved it.
