It's a good long ways from Hank's neighborhood to Lubbock. Hank is supposed to live in a Dallas suburb, Garland (although the fictional town is Arlen), and Lubbock is way out in west Texas, about 350 road miles from Garland. The other possible "model" for Arlen is Austin, which is even farther, 400 road miles , from Lubbock.
