In Florida's U.S. Senate race, Democratic incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson leads U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris, his likely Republican challenger, 53 - 31 percent, similar to his lead in August 31, 2005, and November 15, 2005, Quinnipiac University polls. Republicans back Harris 62 - 22 percent, while Democrats back Nelson 82 - 7 percent and independent voters go with the Democrat 55 - 23 percent.

"U.S. Rep. Harris has gained no ground against Sen. Nelson, who has a lukewarm 49 - 20 percent approval rating for the third poll in a row," Brown said.

KH should drop out now and allow someone that has a chance, the opportunity to run. There is no way she will be elected to the Sen from FL.

Jeb did not win because the GOP has a registration edge. He won because of his personal leadership capabilities and McBride's lack thereof, plus the fact that he had a good record, and his brother was the President.

But, but so many of the polls (and YOU!) told us it was a dead heat.
Bush, McBride tied in latest poll

Florida is one of the states that is about 45%/45%with a 10% swing.People are not focused on the race. This summer they will run ads highlighting Nelson's voting record and the race will narrow fast.

You are still going all out to ensure your prophecy is fulfilled. Just don't come back here whining when Nelson is re-elected.

the "TRUTH" is KH will not be elected and has NO chance. Florida should NOT waste this, or any, opportunity to take another Repub seat in the Sen.

a) Wayyyyyy early.

b) Every incumbent tends to have a huge advantage this far out---Santorum a big exception.

c) Nelson has shut up for the past 6 months. Can he keep quiet for another 6? He puts his foot in his mouth every time he talks.

By given equal weight to Dem/Rep/Ind, you come up with the 53% to 31% numbers. Don't know if that is what they did, but that gives you an indication of the weighing....sorry left out an html bracket.

The winning margin is there in the figures and we do not need the dem vote.

That 22% in the GOP not for Harris is the winning formula, and it is we who must defeat Nelson.

I am not even remotely interested in polls that also showed Jeb Losing to McBride (who?) and Bush losing to kerry (who?)

We hold the key to victory ourselves, and the MSM, the polls, and the dems can go to hell.

Not looking good, but I think she shouldn't have run. Should have spent a few more years in the House building up a good record and getting herself into the position to run.

Florida has a rich history of electing at least one democrat ignoramus to the Senate and sometimes Gov.

Never understood the mindset of Florida voters who elected Graham to Gov. and then Senate.

The guy would put on his "hard hat" weeks before the election and when elected, governed against the very things he "fought" for while doing his 1,000 jobs during election season.

Graham is a proud member in the Hall of Fame of pandering politicians who take the one day out of the year and work "the peoples" job so he can "understand" them better.

You would rather have Nelson as the Micheal Moore of Florida?
Thats what you will get, then.
Stay home and don't vote, and the deal is done.

Her "assets" were on full display in 2000, and THAT is why you don't say "President Gore, so be grateful that she is in public service.

The truth is, you don't know squat about Florida politics, except what you are told to know by the MSM.

Stay there and worry about DeLay.

I for one will not do voluntary work for Harris. She's a lightweight with no local appeal in my neck of the woods.
