He was "The Old Man" in "A Christmas Story" and played Kolchack in "The Night Stalker."
Two personal favorites. He'll be missed.

Did you ever see Kolchack: The Night Stalker. The actual WORKING reporter (as opposed to the WH Press Corps) was portrayed by Darrin McGavin who got involved in all sorts of real demonish stuff. My wife loves it...me, I'm not into vampires. You can still see old episodes on the Sci-Fi channel.
