To be honest I had forgotten about the Mahatma Ghandi line ( the problem is that so many new gaffes come along we tend to forget a lot of the old ones - good thing you're here to keep us straight :) ) but yes, the voucher quote is to me Ghandi redux - the same awkward, reaching quality, the same uncomfortable audience response, the same suspension of common sense and political judgement in response to adulation and campaign cash. And I'm sure there is no one to correct the Smartest Woman in the World, who could take on such a charge?
