'Well, the way I read Genesis, Cain was marked. Therefore, I believe in white supremacy.



Mia, you understand her better than I. ;) Do you know what she means by that statement?

She seems to be saying that this mother is arguing that an outcast by definition creates a hierarchy and a hierarchy, in turn, allows for constructs like White Supremacists.

NOTE: Because an allegedly racist mother is making the argument, the fact that the argument is, at best, a stretch actually strengthens, not weakens, the overall demagoguery.

I think this is a reference to a certain biblical interpretation of genesis that would rationalize white supremacy, i.e.,

(1) the black race is descended from Cain
(2) Cain was cursed and 'marked' with a black skin.
(3) Cain's descendants continue to bear the mark and the curse.
