The situation there resembles the "legal void" that led to the Supreme Court ruling in 2004 giving Guantanamo prisoners the right to challenge their detention in US courts, Bush administration officials told the paper. And in that same ruling, the Supreme Court said detainees held on foreign soil are outside the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court so there is noting the ACLU can do to help the terrorists held in Afghanistan.

Come on ACLU. Get over to Afghanistan and check out the prison so you can file more lawsuits.

Bagram, a US base north of Kabul, now houses about 500 detainees, claimed the New York Times. I have always held freedom of the press in high esteem, but there is a limit.
I am not among those who believe "treason" is a quaint old fashioned concept.
Time to do some serious reflection, as a nation, and make a few of these newspapers disappear.

They only get Chicken ala King instead of Chicken Cordon Bleu. And of course it's a little colder there than balmy Guantanamo.

Worse that G'tmo.
What you mean they only get two meals a day instead of three.
Only get to shower once a week instead of everyday.
Clean clothes only once a week instead of every day.
If it is really a prison and they are really being treated like terrorists, then I say its about frelling time.

There are thousands of jails a thousand times worse in countries like Russia and China.
How come the NY Times never talks about them?
Gitmo is like a country-club compared to your typical russian prison.

Sometimes I wish we were strict isolationist. Then we wouldn't have to read this type of bildge. Imagine the trees that would be saved because all the MSM newspapers would have nothing to write about. Gawd, it gets tiring....I am SO sick of it.
