Then whose opinion should I take, a military professional whose has much experience with the UAE(Tommy Franks) or a politicians(chuckie schumer).
I'll take Gen. Tommy Franks's opinion.
Agreeded If the US Navy doesnt have problems with this thats something that should be looked at. McCain has gone up a alot in my book by the way. He is one of the few Leaders and in fact the only one that is holding a pro-port position on this that is prob going to run for Prez.
"You're a racist," and "You don't know enough to even have an opinion," are not arguments. They're anti-arguments, designed to end discussion.
I will take the public's opinion over that of any political puppet. The public has access to all sides of an issue, not just the political pundits justifications.
Our government is of the people, by the people, for the people, not by the government, for the government.
Franks is a PAID representitive of the lobby that supports the deal. Paid experts have to be especially questioned.
instead of "trusting" someone blindly, why don't you try thinking through it yourself?
I'll take Gen. Tommy Franks's opinion.
Classic example of the problem(s) here. You/people just simply listen to one person on the topic and "that's good enough for them."
I suppose you're fully satisfied with W's handling of the border issue based on what he's spoon fed you? But wait, he's a politician whom you just discredited up top. But if W is wrong on the border issue, he couldn't possibly be wrong on this one, could he? Nahhhh....
It'd be refreshing to see some people thinking for themselves instead of simply quoting/citing someone else for their viewpoints! You wanna cite for facts, fine. But opinions, ..... weak, very, very weak.
