While this has damaged the President, he does have the bully pulpit and is in a position to state his case to the American people. Over the long term this has the makings of a political disaster for the Dems is the Republicans play it right. The Dems may have succeeded in alienating another of their corp groups. Without the Arab-American vote the Dems lose. We already know this has ticked of regular people in the UAE, why haven't we seen any polls about what Arab-Americans think about their dear Democrat Party now.

Schumer may have been "on this since 9/11", but what has he actually proposed to do about it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Was that weapon actually loaded in the photo? If it was and she was inside a building with people, she has the "Stuck On Stupid" market cornered by herself.

What a dingbat.

Bet that figure is low. If I'm not mistaken, the UAE was hit up for major donations to the Clinton library as well.

Speaking about McCain & Hillary -

Andrea Mitchell keeps on spinning that Hillary Clinton is a hawk on military issues because she is a member of Senate Armed Services Committee. McCain for a long time is member of the same committee & it didn't win him in the Republican primary.

And Ted Kennedy & Carl Levin (ranking) are also members of it. ANYBODY think of 'em as hawks on military? May be if Liebermann is a member (he is not) he could be called as such.

McCain, Clinton, Edwards were all in Florida this weekend - Hillary Clinton decried global warming and gas prices, McCain courting Hispanic power brokers in Miami & Edwards talking poverty in America. Something interesting at McCain event - someone asked about his probable opponent Hillary and McCain casually joked "Hillary may have to face other important problems". This is the Hillary's problem McCain was :-) ing about.

Why don't they just give Biden his own show? He could have Shmucky and McVain as permanant guest hosts.Call it the three Am-egos.

You 're right. Library donations Clinton got from UAE & SA are in millions. This figure is for Clinton's recent speeches.

Amazing. The system doesn't work, so here's how we get around it using the system that does work but we can't officially sanction that because it would damage the system that doesn't work. Huh? (I must have missed something.)

The only research that counts, it seems, is the way the wind blows with the voters.

I am the first to say our elected reps should represent the will of their constituency. Yet, on issues with fear as the driving factor (as opposed to facts) they should get the facts first.

While Canada's politicians have always maintained that they have a single payer system, and everyone is treated the same, the safety valve for those who did not want to wait in line has always been the availability to get medical care in the US.

And guess who are the first to fly south when they need med. care? Right! The politicians.

There is plenty of time to correct all the misinformation out there, but you can only give the Congresscritters so much security info before they spill their guts. They are not capable of handling this info, they are worse than the worst gossips in anyone's small Home town. It makes them feel important to break the news or to give people in the Media info that they cannot get elsewhere. They are all becoming Women and the Women are all becoming Men. Seriously flawed People like them should not be in charge of anything to do with US Security.

Mitchell has all but become a spokesperson for Hillary..she was on Hardball a few weeks ago, and her vehement response to a criticism of Hillary even made Chris blink..

Wyoming men obviously love their dogs.

I think on the whole the public love dogs and somehow seeing politicians with them makes them more humour and more assessable, common ground I suppose.

The White House website used to have a lot more Barney photos and always thought it was a shame we have gone from a photo of the day to a photo of the month. Probably change of staff or something but I always thought this was good publicity as seeing the President with his pets always showed a compassionate patient side of GWB
