How can anyone, especially groups of people who appear to pose a security risk, be granted instant citizenship? This smacks of treason.

Of all the people we might consider letting into this country, Muslims shouldn't just be at the bottom of the list, they shouldn't be on the list at all.

I was under the impression that the Ahiska wanted to return to their homeland--Georgia.

How many al-Qaeda sympathizers will there be in this group?

This is a sweet deal for Russia. Let the United Stated take in all their jihadists. There must be peals of laughter in the Kremilin tonight.

If that is really the case, then (1) they don't need to be imported to America, let them go elsewhere, and (2) they don't need American citizenship to return to Georgia.

That's sort of what I was getting at. Or more accurately, this question: Wouldn't the compassionate thing to do involve lobbying on their behalf for the right of return?

We've become the world's Mikey (from the Life cereal commercials of yesteryear).

Provided they don't come here, I'm all for it.

Turkish and Azeri parliamentarians had recently appealed for an international intervention to pressure the Georgian government into allowing the return of Ahiska Muslims.

If Turkey wants them, then why are we taking them? Also why won't the Georgians let then stay there? What's wrong with them?

KRASNODAR, Russia, July 24, (IslamOnline.net) - The United States has agreed to grant citizenship to 7,000 Ahiska Muslims who will be settled in Pennsylvania, reported a Russian newspaper on Friday, July 23. I honestly don't know. I might come back to this thread tomorrow and read all three. Or I might not, I'm on knee-jerk reaction overload right now.

Bush isn't the fascist leader the left would like us to believe, but with continuted insanity such as this he's paving the way for the one who will be.

Does your church still offer indulgences?

Well, no. But the principle remains. We are encouraged to tithe and even to give over and above. If we don't have the money to tithe, we're encouraged to sow seed money of faith by giving even tho' we don't have it...because God will honor our faithfulness and open the floodgates of heaven and give it back to us in blessings.

Like I said, it's a tough act to swallow when I go into overdraft by the end of the month, waiting for my next retirement check. So yeah, I'm venting about it. How does this have to do with immigrants? Because the church supports numerous local organizations that provide automatic bennies to immigrants to this area, but if you're an American in need, and it's not easy to get help from these organizations. I know Americans who are in need and they don't get automatic help like the immigrants.

There must be peals of laughter in the Kremilin tonight.

Wait for those peals of laughter to be muted by the sounds of gunfire and the moans of the dying. Watch the smiles turn to grimmaces as they remember the real reason for the 2nd Amendment to our Bill of Rights.

Our suburban Philadelphia church has been assisting one of these Meskheti Turk families for the better part of a year now. They are part of an extended family group which has been settling in our community, aided by several local churches. It's been a very big challenge.

Our church as put them up in a charming cottage on the church property, free of charge. To afford something similar would take significant income, since we're in a high-cost suburb. I can't imagine when the family will ever be able to afford rent for a suitable home, nor do I think they understand the value of what they're receiving. The husband's only work experience in Russia was on a family farm. He's of limited literacy, speaks Russian and Turkish, and is frequently belligerant. We had great difficulty finding him employment, and he's lost a couple of jobs due to poor attitude. The wife is legally deaf, illiterate, speaks only Turkish, and has serious emotional illness. She has trouble managing the two pre-school kids due to her disabilities and emotional problems. The husband doesn't do anything to help her or help in the house (not men's work).

It's frustrating to see this - these people have little hope of adjusting productively to our culture and I can't see how they will ever be able to support themselves here. The Russian government should be pressured to take care of their own problem minority populations. It makes no sense at all for us to ship them all to the USA for resettlement.

I agree. For us to import them to this country is pure insanity, another step to weaken this country. It smacks of treason.

"You know what, you're right. This insane border policy is President George Bush's fault. He swore an oath to protect the states from invasion. He has failed to honor his oath of office."

How so many at FR can swear the Emperor IS wearing cloths is incredulous to me.

Dubya is clearly derilict in his duty in this case.

"If anyone would like to know more about MS13, use the link below.

This is more evidence of what open borders is doing to our nation. Yes, the nation some profess to love, but couldn't care less what open borders is doing to it. America's Most Dangerous Gang - MS13 - Violent, Vicious, and Spreading Fast.
