Looks like Bush didn't bother to read his own intelligence reports before defending the ports deal. This is going to add more heft to that political tsunami that threatens to crash down on the White House.

Or, just maybe instead of relying on propaganda statements from Al Qaeda, he knows the reality of the situation instead. It is amazing how suddenly 4 year old Al Qaeda propaganda is suddenly taken as the gospel truth.

The warning was contained in a June 2002 message to UAE rulers, in which the terror network demanded the release of an unknown number of "mujahedeen detainees," To me it looks like a three year old idle threat.

I was quite surprised and dissapointed to see him so vehemently defend the port deal that he didn't even see before hand. I am confused about this. Just something is up! I trust my gut 99% of the time, and regret NOT trusting it the other 1%. I don't like this and I'm confused and questioning Bush for the first time regarding national security.

This is going to add more heft to that political tsunami that threatens to crash down on the White House. Only if you take al Qaida's word for it.
But Tommy Franks said it was UAE who ratted out the Taliban in preparation for our operations in Afghanistan.
Little is known about the origins or authorship of the message. . . . but yet you'll abandon the President because of it.
