My 15 YO is on a school trip to Washington DC. The kids were told essentially the same thing (about DC) at the pre-trip meeting for students & parents last week....with the slightly embellished reminder that DC is 'the murder capitol of the world.'

I have never heard that the UAE is a dangerous place to be. It assumed to be a safe place for people to walk around. It might be less safe now because of the whole terrorist thing. Before 2001 it was a very safe place for foreigners

How about 20 15 yr. olds in a group?Could they leave the "resort areas" in D.C.
Would they all be killed?
