Los Angeles is a "sanctuary city". The illegal aliens have taken full advantage of this, and there are millions of them living here.

Illegal aliens cost the taxpayers of California 10 billion bucks a year, yet any attempt we make to cut these funds off is met with charges of racism and propaganda about how vital these lawbreakers are to our economy. We passed Proposition 187 a few years back by a large margin, and it was thrown out by ONE liberal federal judge as "unconstitutional". Prop 187 would have cut off California taxpayer funds to illegal aliens (welfare, food stamps, medical care other than emergency, etc.)

The wimp Governor Gray Davis wouldn't stand up for his own people and fight this outrage. Guv Arnold is deaf and dumb to this problem, all the while knowing that California is deeply in debt. He pretends that he doesn't know about the 10 billion bucks a year these bloodsuckers cost us.

Our schools are overloaded, and we're having to build new ones to accommodate illegal aliens. Many hospitals have gone bankrupt accommodating illegal aliens. Our social services are overwhelmed. Our towns are looking more and more like Mexico border towns.

Has California been invaded? YES. Is California being colonized? YES.

With all the lame brained proposals to legalize these millions of lawbreakers, watch out, the other states will soon resemble Mexifornia. President Bush is on board and actually pushing this legislation.

They dont need to. The current government can be trusted in dealing with terrorism. The same cannot be said for how they deal with border issues.

A few people argue that lax border security is letting in terrorists.

Like you, I think they are wrong.

Further, I think they like to used terrorism as a convienient excuse for sealing the southern border when their real goal is not stopping terrorism but stopping the mexican invasion.

So as long as the anti mexicans use terrorism as a disingenuous excuse, I can be equally disingenuous by suggesting the minutemen start looking at muslims.

While I think its possible terrorists could come in illegally over the southern border I also think its probably not the easiest or most advantageous way for them. Speaking of disingenuous. Bush says over and over that we need a guest worker program for mexicans that is so generous that the only people who would want or need to come illegally would be criminals or terrorists. Hes using the threat of terrorism to help push his own favored policies. Thats much worse than any of these "disingenuous anti-mexicans" youre talking about.

I want to see illegal immigration stopped whether it's coming from the north, the south, from overstaying a visa, or whatever. Since the southern border is the busiest "port of entry" for drugs and illegal aliens (from Mexico and other countries), it's the most obvious place for more fencing and border patrol agents. Can you think of any good reason why this "mexican invasion" should be allowed to continue unabated?

Even if terrorism didn't exist the borders should be patrolled and only people willing to come here legally should be allowed in. The government's near refusal to enforce immigration law is untenable.
