If you read the story about Mancuso staying up very late the night before her race, her sister not preparing the meal as promised and Mancuso eating a pop tart instead, Mancuso losing her credentials, and of course wearing that ridiculous tiara, you can see how Street would be annoyed.
If Mancuso had not medalled everyone would be bashing her big time, much as they bashed Weir for his fiasco.
I just got back home. I was told at dinner that Picabo Street's comment about Mancuso wearing a tiara was due to the fact that Mancuso usually does wear a tiara - as a good luck charm. I had no idea. I thought that Picabo was being caddy about Mancuso acting like a princess. I really had no idea she really wore a tiara.
