I just got back home. I was told at dinner that Picabo Street's comment about Mancuso wearing a tiara was due to the fact that Mancuso usually does wear a tiara - as a good luck charm. I had no idea. I thought that Picabo was being caddy about Mancuso acting like a princess. I really had no idea she really wore a tiara.
Apologies to Street for commenting without knowing what I was talking about.

Very sad about US short-track skater Kimberly Derrick, with her Grand-father passing away Friday night at the games. I'm suprised she could even get onto the ice.
My heart goes out to her.

LOL.....Mancuso put the tiara on after the singing of the national anthem at the medal ceremony.
LOL......ooohhhhboy, some of these kids are something else. Weir with the ladies blouse and this girl with her tiara.
Winter sports are something, aren't they!!!!

Yes, that was very sad. I am just miles from her home and the local media has been following her closely, including the death of her grandfather. It must have been nearly unbearable for her to skate.

How the hell, when the ladies finals in figure skating in the biggest event, do you string it out until 12AM???
I was able to make it through the figure skating because I've been basically home for the last month on "bedrest". So I'm had an excuse to sit on my butt watching sports.
In normal times, I'd have missed it, especially on a work/school night for me.
The next day I had family and friends calling me to find out what happened, they couldn't stay up that late. I'd love to see a breakdown of NBC's ratings drop off after say 10pm or so.
