Congratulations. Women like you (and like my wife) are heroic. It takes a lot of guts to put a career on hold and stay home with kids.

She doesn't buy into the arguments of many homemakers who say taking care of the family is the most fulfilling thing they could imagine." Hirshman's response is a demonstration of breathtaking arrogance. "I would like to see a description of their daily lives that substantiates that position," she said.

Thanks! And I don't care what she buys into it really is the most fulfilling job. Yes, there are down and out downer days. But there are those days "in the office" also. I got my education to support myself should I never marry or should I have to support myself later on. But I always knew I wanted to stay home with the kids. And I chose a husband that wanted the same and could support us financially. Doesn't mean my education might not be helpful in a time of need.

It takes no courage at all to be a stay at home mom (how I hate that term). It takes a great husband and father that makes it possible.
