ten to one he was born named for a dead president. Detroit was a black panther town during and after the '67 loot-first-burn-later proceedings.....this is also where Conyers was first seen on top of a car with a megaphone.
Detriot really was a Grand old City until then, and its been downhill ever since.....what you might THINK you saw on the tube with the Superbowl was a contrived sham....its 90% wasteland and dangerous everywhere unless they're putting on a show......they even got serious about arresting wanted felons during the month previous to the Bowl. There has been no competent and good-willed leadership since Coleman Young took office in about 1972.

By sham, did you mean I thought I saw the Steelers win but it was really the Lions?
I hear you. The press could have used a wide angle lens, I was waiting for it and pretty shocked when the City was given a gold star.
No one local was fooled into thinking Detroit would spring back to life after XL . . thing is, we all felt good for pulling it off. People were talking about how it was a start, let's work together. . hopeful.
Patterson's 48 Buick jab, 1st thought, big trunk. . Councilwoman Collins is a full figured gal . .
What a train wreck. Jackson & Sharpton are probably clearing their schedules and once again Detroit's slip is showing.
