How about the doctors that needlessly prescribe antibiotics to patients without the understanding that "super" strains of bacteria are evolving that are becoming resistant to every known antibiotic?
Patients want antibiotics for everything these days. I think if we know about superstrains, doctors probably know too.
Of course, there is the chance that these doctors were not allowed to learn the theory of evolution in high school.
If ever there was a case for the ToE to prove it's usefulness, that was it but it didn't. Anti-biotic resistant bacteria didn't become on issue until it was OBSERVED and people started getting untreatable infections. Then it was, Oops... In the meantime, the warning signs that the bacteria were becoming resistant were out there. The course of treatment went from 5 day to 7; then from 7 to 10; and then for a very short period of time from 10 to 14 days and then it was backed down to 10 again. It was just after that some 15 years ago, that the whole anti-biotic resistant bacteria issue really came out.

Those doctors know what exactly what they are doing.
They are not ignorant. They are irresponsible. They prefer to take the easy way out and spend 20 seconds writing an antibiotic prescription rather than spending 20 minutes arguing with an irate mother than demands that Little Johnny be given an antibiotic for his cold.
