Glad to help...I was always nosy when I took my kids to the doctor...I guess, in another life, I would have wished to be a doctor..so whenever the boys had a medical problem, I would go to the doctor with my notebook in hand...wanted to know what was wrong with my boys, but also just craved taking in medical information...

Read my post #40, you may find that somewhat interesting as well..I am just fascinated by medical things...

I thought from reading the headline this was about "evolving" better medicines. You know, you could do it the darwinist way: throw various inert elements together in a heap and give it few billion years to chaotically and mindlessly percolate itself into a new super high blood pressure medication.

Or you could fund a private or commercial laboratory to do the job.

The latter, of course, would be intelligent design--the only way grand new formulations can ever come about in a short period of time.

I find outrageously funny all the supposedly bright and well-educated people who cling to the idea of a dead, mindless, pointless state of squat entropy-tending darwinian existence as the pinnacle of human mental achievement.

To find so much pleasure and meaning in abject, cruel, impersonal meaninglessness is truly a great talent. The materialist chumps don't even begin to sense the incongruity of materialist darwinism relative to their feelings and beliefs about it, which makes their intellectual pratfalls and unintentionally comical prattle all the funnier.

One would think that the ToE could have been (and SHOULD have been) used to predict the development of anti-biotic resistant strains of bacteria.

In the middle 1950s, I heard bacteriologists complaining about the overuse of antibiotics. They gave the usual evolutionary arguments. The cloning experiments showed that bacterial mutations could lead to resistance.

What's new is the knowledge of the mechanism and of the possibility of horizontal transfer of resistance.

I gues that most people don't get the connection of "coli" to "colon" (which they probably think is a dot with a comma under it.)

I notice your new tagline:
Beware the secularization of America; the Islamization of Eurabia
Do you appreciate the sterling work done on your behalf by Islamic fundamentalists? They testify in the heartland, hand out leaflets, march etc.. It must be a warm feeling, having a common cause with people with impregnable faith.

Excuse me. What are you talking about? I couldn't be more opposed to Islam. In fact, as a retired Army chaplain, I believe Islam is the ultimate Satan-inspired false religion today.

You are most likely correct about that...I think that most people would be shocked and even unbelieving, to learn that we all actually carry some e. coli bateria in our intestines...but its there, just kept at bay, by our properly working immune systems...

I never asked for the antibiotics so it wasn't done to please me.

You couldn't present and defend a coherent definition of entropy, so don't use words you don't understand. Stick to obscurantism (you can find that one in any dictionary).

Gosh, and just a little while ago, you were preaching to us how we should all be nice. Did the lithium wear off?

One frequently reads here on FR that evolution is of no practical use in the health-related professions. This editorial rebuts that assertion.

OK then, I guess your work here is done.

Maybe you should stop obsessing about other people's posting habits. And remember to take your meds.

"editorial"

Yeah, and editorial, so I wouldn't use it as as "proof".
