Anyone with a "Ports" ping list please broadcast this to them for me...

Knowledge isn't free...it takes time to find and distribute.

I hope this contributes to the discussion

Oh no we're doomed!

Not the Del Monte terminal!

Everyone knows that terrorists would love to get their hands on tomato sauce.

Strange, nowhere under "provides the following" do I see "Port Security." If P&O isn't providing port security, then I suppose DPW won't either.

Based on that map, I just notice a pattern. It appears that ALL of the ports are along a coast.

Thank you for the trouble taken to put this post together. I shall bookmark it now. done. Hopefully as more folks read and absorb, they will discover that we are not talking about any foreign entity "taking over our ports". Damn L/MSM are yet again winning the war via. misinformation.

Adding a link to a related story on the port topic. It doesn't appear to be posted as a thread yet.

Why Dubai is good for US business

http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0224/p09s01-coop.html

Excerpt:
Dubai Ports World is exactly the kind of bridge the US needs to the Muslim world.
By Mansoor Ijaz
LONDON – In the battle of hearts and minds that defines America's struggle to combat terrorism, the emotional eruption from US politicians in the past week over the proposed takeover of six key American ports by a Dubai company is a big step backward for US national security. It is a uniquely un-American reaction that assumes the worst of an important Arab ally, pronounces its guilt, and seeks to paint its companies as enemies without one shred of evidence.

I hope all this results in a bill that prevents any US port from being operated by ANY foreign country or business ever again.

Thank you so much for this info! I was looking all over for it.

Mainly, what I haven't been able to find, all together in one place, is the total number of public and private terminals at each of these ports. I know we have 150 at the Port of Houston, but that's all I know. I wanted to get a handle on the percentage of each of the Ports' facilities that might be connected to DPW.

I don't even see that DPW is taking over ALL of P&O, just selected properties at 6 of these, from what I've read. Thanks again!
