Look for the Rio to be paved over. Jorge could not deal with the thought that something like this stands in the way of his max effort to give America away.

That pet store inside of North Star Mall that had a piranha happened to be in San Antonio - just to clarify.

Unfortunately, Jorge has only showed an inclination toward ill-tempered Sea Bass.

as long as they're union piranha and not from UAE, then they're OK.

"Sounds like Escape San Antonio is making this up in hopes that they can cause it to happen."

See #3.

Will Piranah fish slow Rio Grande swimmers?

I would think it would speed them up a bit...

Pet store piranha made me think of this Far Side:

I think I could muster my personal best in terms of swimming speed.

Unless you are Aussie Olympic Gold-Medalist Ian Thorpe, I'm not so convinced.

Initial calls to the Texas Parks and Wildlife office in Austin have not produced any evidence that they have investigated reports of attempts to introduce the fish in the Rio Grand.

There is no evidence that DPW has investigated any reports of attempts to introduce this fish...

...but a few urban legend stories might slow some traffic down.

That would probably do it. Say, maybe that is Escape San Antonio's hidden agenda in all of this. According to them, they are "investigating the possibility that this insane practice has started or is about to start."

I don't know... are we sure that the piranha union doesn't support terrorism?

I mean, I can't think of one single terrorist that has been eaten by a piranha. And I seem to recall that one of the 9/11 hijackers listed "Piranha 2: The Spawning" as his favorite movie on his terrorist application.

I think that's evidence enough that piranha are soft on terrorism! We can't have pro-terrorist piranha swimming along our country's border!

I've always contended that a few giant squid would solve the problem.

Why stop at piranah? Go for broke with the sharks w/laser beams on their heads.

Good idea, fill the river with them.

How about gators?

How about throwing in a giant hair dryer or toaster occasionally?

I've always contended that a few giant squid would solve the problem.

How about a whole bunch of guys in camouflage uniforms with machine guns and tanks and Apache helicopters and stuff? What do they call that again? The Army?
