Rumor and hearsay. Seems the Port Deal foes are getting desperate.
Ah I see. Don't bother the Whine All The Time choir with the facts.
What next...the UAE has stock in Walmart?
I am sick of this CRAP! It is just about time for a bunch of our Public Servants to be forced to come clean. Not only but especially the Senate Intelligence folks, the CIA/BJC Dept of Justice, 9/11 Commissars/ DDI/ NSA/DoD/Gorelick and co., BJ/Hillary/GWB/Geo.Bush 1/Colin Bowell/ and anyone else that worked in the Federal Gov't prior to 2006! Nothing more than Big Guv'mnt Phonies and thieving bureauratic liars, need to despose them in some court under some oath and get to the bottom of this (sort-of)War on Terror....I feel an ever increasing need to see some of these people walking the plank not jiving and shucking any and all responsibility...now, where's my short, thick rope!
"Rumor and hearsay. Seems the Port Deal foes are getting desperate."
Clearly. And if I intended to side with them, I would visit the DU.
Actually this story seems to indicate that the blundering Clarke tipped off al Queda that we knew of this camp.
Since no one admitted awareness of any conjuction of UAE officials and Osama the death of the alleged former would not have raised any hackles. So what if someone was where they weren't supposed to be.
But it is a perfect example of the unrealistic view of military and foreign policy which controlled the Clinton administration. We certainly are not surprised by any of this incompetence.
Human Events has inadvertently revealed its own duplicity in trying to spin this as anti-port deal. That type of deception is why I no longer receive it as I did for about five years.
The presence of UAE officials in Afghanistan at that time does raise questions as to how reliable these people are.
It's plain old common sense that Islamic Arabs would take the side of other Islamic Arabs whose philosophy they share. Until the port supporters take that issue head-on, without crying "racism!", the rancor will continue.
