Rockefeller Feeling the Heat? - Friday, February 24, 2006 @ 10:33:34 AM

So Sen. Jay Rockefeller sent a letter to Amb. John Negroponte complaining about White House leaks to Bob Woodward.

Why would Rockefeller be so uptight? Perhaps because he senses the FBI is locking in some of his loyalists in the NSA and overseas prison leaks? Things are going to be getting interesting for a number of folks on Capitol Hill in the coming days.

Wouldn't this be fun if Jay Rockefeller's thumbprints were found all over this situation, and the evidence was so compelling that even Robert Byrd feels called upon to denounce Rockefeller....

I have my suspicions that Rockefeller himself was the leaker.

Why else would he have written that memo to himself in his scrawl to place in the files?

It would be very nice to see him in the dock as the defendant......then behind bars. He'd look good in one of those orange jumpsuits.

At news conferences with Senate and House Democrats they should be asked if they will expel members of their party from Congress who leak top secret material to the media like the NSA program.

I just wish they had the little playpen in American courts to make the defendants sit in. A few more situations like in Atlanta, and perhaps we will.
