Pretty broad brush there, huh Laz? Are you saying the only possible motivation for supporting the deal is bush-botism?

Full disclosure: I haven't taken sides in this yet, because I don't like to spout off in subject matters I know nothing about.

But either FR has a lot of global shipping magnates and port administrators (with a few longshoremen thrown in), or a lot of people (on both sides) are spouting off about things they know little about.

Here are two undiscussed scenarios, BTW:

1. The UAE 'governmental company' that is planning to run the ports is a CIA front organization, intended to lock the ports down and also get information about terrorists by appearing to be sympathetic. Bush knows this, thusly his insistance that this happen.
   
   
2. Bush and Clinton have agreed to bounce the presidency between their families for thenext 20-40 years, and Bush is purposely screwing up so it's a walk for Hillary. Hillary would then screw up badly (on purpose) to let that younger handsome Bush nephew in, and then back to Chelsea, and so on.
