If that is the case (I don't think it is) it means Rush is absolutely right, that this only STRENGTHENS Bush's position, because it becomes even clearer that the Dems are not, and have never been, interested in our security. Either way, Bush and the GOP win.

It was like Kerry trying to run as a "war hero": He was damned if he did, because it only reinforced the notion that there is a war out there, and damned if he didn't because then only one guy was "fighting" the war, Bush.
