Can anybody explain to me why there is such as taxpayer-funded (because that's what it is, it's not "public") radio and TV in the first place? We are a capitalist nation, if a company can't make money, it's because either there is a problem with the product (either price or quality) or it's not being marketed properly, or it isn't really necessary in the first place.
