Born and brewed in the USA! However, you are very perceptive. I acquired some Canadian/English habits from my life experiences. Many of my textbooks were written and edited at Oxford (P.W. Atkins "Physical Chemistry" comes to mind), and I often read a couple British newspapers.
For a long time, I had 2 housemates from Oxford and one from Toronto. I hold them partially responsible for my linguistic schizophrenia (and my affinity for "The Black Adder").
