We're suing to stop sale to Dubai firm Then why not sue to stop the illegal alien invasion that is a TRUE grave threat to American security?
Hypocrites!

I'm saying that when all is said and done, a lot of people will realize who is driving this brouhaha and what their agenda is (I'll give you a hint-their name starts with a "D")-and will either be very shame-faced (as some are) or crawl back off to Fringeland.

The people that were here in those days(even before you) are the ones that Grew FR and made it more than just another web forum that fell by the wayside. They were the ones that thought that what Clinton did actually was Americans business.

First assumption, mistaken.

Partly. Don't forget, there are some Democrats also using this to attack the President and make themselves look strong on defense.
Then of course there is the Bush is all evil crowd, who can't pass up any opportunity to pile on.

Seriously, no matter how this issue ends up settling out...I think the most significant consequence of it may be how Bush's loyal base has, overnight, assumed the role of Islam apologist. It is absolutely unbelievable, and frightening as hell. Unbelievable, so I guess Ret. Gen. Tommy Franks is now an "islam apologist".
Your ignorance and barb throwing divides conservatives, but you don't care, even as the facts are presented to you.

The Council seems to be in favor, so Dullbite and Carter would naturally speak out in favor. Dasshole would do/say anything for a chance to stand in front of a microphone.

The fact that the change involves a Middle Eastern country is only being used as scare tactics by those who hope that the masses stay uninformed.Considering the media has done it's best to misreport this whole story from the get-go, keeping the public uninformed and clueless about day-to-day global business transactions has been quite easy.

If that were true then that other website forum that shall remain nameless would be thriving since Arator and his ilk went over there to sulk.

The truth of the matter is longshoremen. The Dubai company is not union friendly and they do what they do best WITHOUT unions. Now the enemy of your "America" is the taxpaying American worker and your friend is the Arab-Muslim nation that supported Osama bin Laden.
Have you no shame.
If a drug addict who ordered his housekeeper to buy drugs to feed his habit said it, it must be true.

National security hasn't been one of the democrats strong points during the 2002 midterms, and the 2004 presidential election. They've been squarely at odds with the American people, and paid for it at the polls.
With this issue, they've found themselves reinventing themselves and having to engage in revisionist history.
This is all part and parcel of the Democrat playbook to "fool the voter".

Maybe the Union is getting marching orders from the DNC to put up a fuss just as another way to make Bush look bad. or maybe they are back to trying to get another independent counsel to dig for more information again
I just wish I knew what they were up to

This battle is not about parties. It is about preserving America and not losing control to global powers. Anyone of which could become our enemy at any moment. And who even knows which of those we think are our friends today could be decieving us. Never give over you sovernty to global powers. Your sovernty and your land, and your customs are all that make your country what it is. Without them- You are nothing special even if you manage to exist. And it is very unlikely that you will for long.

Unbelievable, so I guess Ret. Gen. Tommy Franks is now an "islam apologist".No, I am not calling Tommy Franks an apologist for anything nor am I referring to him at all. Cute, though, that you would fabricate that very specific personal attack from a general statement.
I am talking about many of the lame arguments presented by some in this forum that try to downplay the very notion that terrorism is linked to the Middle East and Islam.
To: BigSkyFreeper
The Dems have already started backing off this non-issue. Once the facts started getting out they realized it was only going to make them seem even more foolish. They're moving on to "civil war in Iraq".
It will take some other folks a while to smell the coffee.
