Officials: Al-Qaeda to strike this year (Fear of Mega-attack in Israel 2006)

Global Jihad has Israel in its sights: Security officials estimate that 2006 is the "target year" set by the global al-Qaeda terror network to carry out a mega-terror attack in Israel, the country's leading newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported Thursday.

I've heard quite a bit about codes and 2006- from asteroids to earthquakes in L.A. to what not-- and I don't put too much faith in them, but some of the books on the subject are compelling. No reason not to be especially watchful.

I felt so much better after hearing that hackneyed cliche. I flashed back to a TV commercial for coke about 40 years ago with that pretty pretty girl singing "I'd like to teach the world to sing ...." I'm beginning to think Bush believes what Rove says and Rove believes it too. It really made my day. All is well.

It does not look good for Israel in the near future. Iran knows that they are under the "use it or lose it" rule as the US dickers with the EU and the UN over when to commence the bombing of Iran's nukes. Those stinks are going to bring hell on their heads if they nuke Israel Bush is in power. That is - unless they wait until a Rino or Democrat is President. Then it is be "tsk, tsk, but we don't blame you..."

Has anyone here pondered why 9/11 happened? After the 1993 terrorist bombing we had 8 years of bogus bill and no effective response. And yet it was those very people in the WTC that were failing the poor and angry muslims in those mideast countries. President Musharraf said it well : you can whack an individual al qaeda, that's but a leaf, you can take out the whole al qaeda network, that's but a branch, the roots of terrorism are the poverty and sense of powerlessness in the muslim world. We saw that in the fall of the USSR, when people have nothing, they won't believe in nothing, they'll believe in ANYTHING. Thus OBL is that ANYTHING that these poor people turn to as their last hope(religion)....Thus it is FINALLY being realized that ecomonic growth, water and electricity, a materially better life, is the true war we should be waging; ie, butter, not bullets; the things the WTC people who died on 9/11 should have been doing in the 70s/80s/90s...It is heartening then that windmills are going up in afghanistan, solar powered appliances in iraq; these are where our true eforts in the middle east should be concentrated, giving islamic people HOPE for a better future; a culture of LIFE instead of OBL's culture of DEATH.
