Yes, please do get on Karl about the PR issue. I think some of the excellent policy recommendations he's making are getting swallowed up by the communications strategy. I think (I know this is politically UN-PC), that Katrina was more a PR failure (gasp, Bush doesn't care!) than a real story. Katrina was a huge storm. Stuff was going to happen. And huge bureaucracies don't move quick. But because of the communications failures to keep explaining and keep getting on people we have been painted into a corner where the polls show that the big "second term slide" started with Katrina...

Having said that, Thank him for serving our country in such a difficult time.
