Just as Kennedy began speaking, Trost was walking out of the room when he shouted, "Remember Chappaquiddick!" BAWAHHHHHH!!! I would have paid good money to see the look on Kennedy's face!

Kennedy, you moron, you and the college would've been far better off just letting the guy have his say and ignoring it. But, oh no, you just had to get some of your own back for being dissed. You're such a loser. And so are your sycophants.

I would think the Chappaquiddick incident would be on the media's front burner these days because Teddy didn't have a press conference the minute he got home, nor did he call authorities until twelve or so hours later. He notified his lawyes, but not the authorities.

''One of my teachers called me ignorant and told me this was an embarrassment to the school,'' Trost told WND. She said to me, ''Can't you forgive him after all these years?'' And I said, ''No, he killed somebody.''
Now just who is ignorant?

the congressman noted how the long-time senator overcame hardship in life on his way to success Hardship?
Oh that's right. I remember Ted's hard-luck growing up:
1- When he was seven, his personal nanny went on strike for a week.
2- Because he was a Kennedy, he was forced to pay top dollar for others to take his tests at Harvard.
I'm sure there a lot more stories, but these deserve their own chapters in Profiles In Courage.

Trost said he was satisfied to know that students on campus were talking about the Chappaquiddick incident later in the day some of whom, in fact, were not familiar with it. Good.

As ever, the liberal motto stands:
Free speech for me, not for thee.
If Karl Rove or Dick Cheney were speaking and someone said something bad about them, would that person be "wondering what was going to happen to him." I doubt it. They would be lauded and congratulated.
Hypocrites.

The only appropriate outburst when Ted Kennedy speaks is "Hail, Caesar!" or "Long live the King!" Doesn't this guy know how to treat royalty?
He must be one of those filthy colonial rabble.

Seeing this story starts my day off on a bright note. Good for Mr. Trost, he should be contacted and invited to join Free Republic (if he isn't already a member) to continue his education.
I thought I knew most of the details of Chappaquidick but it was only recently and through FR that I learned that the water level where the car overturned was so shallow. Surely he could have kicked in a window or opened the door and tried to save her. He had enough strength to swim across the channel for heaven's sake. There probably wasn't even much of a current to fight. That is just shameful and people should not forget.

Trost is now on my list of heros.

I read a book, written by one of the Chappaquidick LEO's that provided a strong case that another member of the clan was actually driving. It even explained why Ted was willing to take the heat. I don't remember the name but it was a good read.
