She could then include that Venezuela and Cuba and North Korea are adversaries of the U.S. but what about business ventures within those nations? How WOULD that be any different than this state-owned Dubai company?

Rice prefaced her ".......that it doesn't matter where in the world one of these purchases is coming from,......." with the part about the agreement being thoroughly vetted.

What is the likelyhood that a company from any of the 3 countries you referred to could successfully pass the "thorough vetting" process?

Except it wasn't "thoroughly vetted". It was given a 20 to 25 day review according to reports. See post 174 about CFIUS rules.

Yes, I recognize that, but, her full statement concerns me. Because, she's referring to "thoroughly vetted" as resulting in recognizing a state owned business -- something never done by the U.S. before as to managing shipping to/from our ports -- by a state that has known and well professed relationships with terrorist organization/s. I question the "vetting process" if and as this is the result.

Another thing...a Republican Senator (King) was just on O'Reilly/FOX saying that the entire "process" consisted of Cabinet members (including Rice) asking Intelligence if they had a file on ______, and that was about it.
