What is the likelyhood that a company from any of the 3 countries you referred to could successfully pass the "thorough vetting" process?
Except it wasn't "thoroughly vetted". It was given a 20 to 25 day review according to reports. See post 174 about CFIUS rules.
Yes, I recognize that, but, her full statement concerns me. Because, she's referring to "thoroughly vetted" as resulting in recognizing a state owned business -- something never done by the U.S. before as to managing shipping to/from our ports -- by a state that has known and well professed relationships with terrorist organization/s. I question the "vetting process" if and as this is the result.
Another thing...a Republican Senator (King) was just on O'Reilly/FOX saying that the entire "process" consisted of Cabinet members (including Rice) asking Intelligence if they had a file on ______, and that was about it.
