I think the Olympics broadcasts would be more interesting if the announcers were Kenny Blakenship and Vic Romano.

I'm watching the end of men's curling now. Looks like our guys are going to lose to Canada and have to compete for the bronze.
Great job on these threads the last week and a half!

Why even watch the women's skating tomorrow night? The fix is in on the russian.
I personally hope Apollo puts the smackdown on the classless Koreans tonight.

I am going to miss Dick since there is no ice skating tonight. He has really grown on me. I loved how he said the word "seduction" about 60 times as to Ice dancing the nights he was on.

Thanks Howlin. How wonderful it is to see these young athletes have their chance to excel with a lifetime of work behind them.
I loved Sasha.. yes, she was perky, sassy & proud. and she should be! wonderful performance from a life of hard work & she deserves all the kudos possible.
Looking forward to the agony & the Ecstasy tonight. It is such a shame all cant get Gold...

LOL! I thought Dick "lost it" the other night. His wording got all flowery and both my hubby and I burst out laughing.
We also notice whatever Dick says about the skaters, the judges vote the opposite. If he LOVES a performance you can just bet they will lose.

My husband and I have been watching the curling every evening. Fascinating. Besides, it's the only Olympic sport most of us could do.

Which is why Sasha is in first place... Frankly, if Sasha skates well, I think that she'll win. Slutty has a tendency to f*up when challenged. (See Salt Lake, Women's LP; Grand Prix Finals, Dec. 2005).
As a little extra bonus, please make sure to send out positive auras to Sasha and negative auras to Slutty.

Sasha's performance was completely superior to Slutskaya's formulatic boring performance. A tie with sasha only .3 ahead? What a load of crap.
The fix is in. The judges can't be blatant anymore with the new system, so they had to make it a tie to give Slutskaya the best oppurtunity to win the gold tomorrow no matter what. Sasha could skate a flawless performance tomorrow night, but unless Slutskaya goes headfirst into the ice, they will give her the gold. And if she goes headfirst into the ice, it will mean she automatically gets the silver, even if every girl behind her skates better and doesn't fall. If Slutskaya after the fall walked into the stands and shanked Cowen, they would still give her the silver.
I don't care if Slutskaya falls tomorrow, I simply want the judging to be unbiased and fair. Nothing more.

Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on? I just turned on the TV - is this a rebroadcast? Cohen's on the ice and its identical to last night.

I was yelling at the TV, "Somebody throw a bucket of cold water on Dick Button!" He sure was hankering for the steamy movie version of ice dancing.
