Excellent article. Except for Andrew Sullivan and this guy, I've found few who are upset over the sentence Irving has received.
I've a lot of blogs and articles on this matter. Its Scary.
You wouldn't believe the number of people in this country who *DON'T* believe in free speech. The massive number of supposedly intelligent people who want vengeance against Irving for committing a "thought crime" is astounding. Except for a few decent radio talk show host like Dennis Prager, talk radio has been silent on the issue.
The hypocrisy on the left is expected. The attitude on many on the right is what is truly shocking and UnAmerican.
How any American could support putting a 67 year old man in jail for 3 years, for something he said *17* years ago is insane.

Well said. I have also been amazed at the number of supposedly conservative people who have no problem with somebody being jailed for thought crimes.
