....let's hope they have no goats in this game.

LOL - heck I thought a goat might work for some of the teams...Looks like they are all partying too much during the down times.

"I have to just b!tch here. Sorry to interupt your thread.

I am sooooo ticked at NBC I can't see straight today. We rushed home from dance to see Sasha skate last night and my eight year old and I fell asleep before she was on past 11:00.

What is wrong with these people???!!!!

Don't they see that their ratings are slipping because real people have to sleep? Many get up and work to buy the products they are advertising!!! I am hitting every sponsor with a letter when these are over to tell them what crappy coverage they sponsored!

Now back to the tread. Thanks for letting me vent."

Those of us who live overseas and work during the day (Army bases, etc.) cannot see the replays on our computers because NBC doesn't allow that, either. So we don't get to see any live action unless we have the privilege of having lunch somewhere where there is live TV. But as a school nurse, I don't get that option. Lunch is my heavy duty time!

We fell asleep too. And my wife is every bit as steamed as you are. Do you know how Sasha did in the short program? She was a favorite of my wife's in the last Olympics.

I fell asleep before Sasha skated too. I watched the video today at the NBC Olympics Web site.

Sasha was magnificent! She was perfect! She performed as flawlessly, perfectly as one could possibly expect. Her performance contained everything that makes it no. 1 in my book. She is in first place by .03 points (Sasha-66.73 - Irina-66.70). IMHO her score should have been a lot hire than what she got. She clearly was the better skater and performed the better routine. If she skates her long program tomorrow night like she did last night, she SHOULD get the Gold. Even if she and Irina skate flawless programs, I cannot imagine Irina's being any cleaner, classier, elegant than Sasha's. We shall see...

Did you hear about Bode Miller? He slightly sprained his ankle playing basketball yesterday....

"It's all America loses...America are poor sportsmen....blah blah blah.... "

We seem to have the finest collection of knuckleheads sent to an Olympics since 1972 in Munich... maybe even outdoing the knuckleheads of 1968 in Mexico City. Someone needs to get our people some serious motivation.

Do you realize that the USA-Finland quarterfinal is the only USA hockey game Westwood One radio *isn't* carrying? I'm ever so pissed.

Fins with their 2nd 5 on 3 power play of the period. .....still 3 - 2 Finns.

oops, now 4 -2, and they'll have a 5 on 4 for another minute or so. Looking bleak for Team USA.

An ESPN/ABC or Fox Olympic would be great. I'm so frickin' sick of NBC. Fox and ABC have the sports channels and broadcasters to do it.

Yeah, I'm following the play-by-play on Eurosport's site. Looks like bronze may be our color.

If we lose this game we're out of the tournament -- no chance for even a bronze.

IMO, this has been the WORST Olympics for access I can remember in years.

And I still don't understand why Canada has it live 24/7 and we can't.

Wait.... aww shoot you're right, I mistook it for the semis. It's been a rough tournament for our guys.

That's been the story for a long time. I had friends who went to school in upstate NY who raved about how much better the coverage was on CBC, even the French stations.

He seems a little impressed with himself this year. Maybe all the media attention got to him?
