To tell you the truth...the reason I was AGAINST this to begin with, was because of Peter King....I know he has consistently come out and backed President Bush over and over...
So...when he was against it, I took notice...same with Sen. Coburn.....
However, after listening to Tony, reading posts by freepers like Liberty Lee, Cboldt..and others, I am more leaning for it (still fence sitting)....and I just wonder how much of the Congresscritter's opinions are based on "knee-jerkitis"...
Because they read the headlines and see a very un-politically correct transaction going down....and they "over-react"...
If they want hearings now, fine....but, they better get a grip on their knee-jerkitis....and I am talking about the GOP here...I don't care about the dems.
My biggest concern about how this has been handled is that we are angering the very people we already don't trust.
The public dialog on this is harming our one reasonably dependable ally in the Arab world.
And fence sitting for me doesn't even begin to describe it. I hear some points opposed and agree. I hear other points in favor and agree. Hopelessly deadlocked. LOL
